Grandma Miller's New Horizons was started in 1962 as a Pentecostal Revival Camp. Learn more about Grandma Miller and the history of these historic cabins at About Us.
"New Horizons" is an idea that was first fostered by Grandma Miller. She believed that everyone regardless of their ideas, economic status, or ethnicity deserved a chance to follow their dreams and make them a reality. Those who have lived here often found new meaning to their life while becoming part of a clan that is positive and encouraging. With hundreds of people who have passed through this property, there are many stories to share. See our "New Horizons" for personal stories.
As a member of Grandma's Cabins, the possibilities are endless! With a foundation in sustainable living, we have a plan to expand our reach to offer workshops and community meetings that are focused on environmental stewardship. By using less water, fewer fossil fuels, and participating in food production and environmental projects, our hope is to make the cabins an example of how to live minimally and sustainably in the mountains of Colorado. We are constantly seeking ways to embrace our three goals:
- Reduce our ecological footprint
- Learn new skills.
- Have fun while building a lifelong community of support.
Because every tenant participates in a few communal work days each year, we are always developing new projects. You can learn more about upcoming projects in our Pumphouse Goals area.
If you are interested in becoming a member of Grandma's family, we encourage you to complete an application. When a cabin becomes available, we will give you a call!
Come back often as we develop our plan for the future. Welcome to Grandma's Cabins!
