Relationships are one of the most powerful forces on earth. Examples are everywhere; mothers are known to have super-human strength when their child’s life is in danger, farmers’ fight to the death for their homeland, bees notoriously protect their queen, etc. The more actively people build relationships, the more actively they care about the people and things in their lives.
My cousin got married! This last week we traveled to Albuquerque to watch my husband's cousin get married. There was love, laughter and good times had by all, but like any big event waste is always a concern.
The adventure begins! In 1999, I had an opportunity to move to a small cabin on top of a "pumphouse." My dad would come to refer to it as the "wooden tent." Little did I know that this 10x10 A-Frame would change my life forever.

The new "face" of Grandma's Cabins, Robyn Wilson returns to the cabins after 18 years. In her time away, she was a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in El Salvador, she earned two Masters Degrees, an M.A. in Sustainable Communities and a M.Ed. in Bilingual and Multicultural Education, she served as an Executive Director for a non-profit adult education center in Telluride, CO and was an academic advisor for Colorado Northwestern Community College.

Darcy MacGregor became the owner of Grandma's Cabins in 1982. Since then, she has seen it all. During her time at the cabins, she has overseen the building of a pumphouse, the development of a constructed wetland, the installation of solar panels, and the building of several cabins that continue to house community members to this day.
